Conflict Fragility and Social Dynamics in Diyala Governorate

This research, with support from Sanad for Peacebuilding and UNDP, constitutes an in-depth mixed-methods analysis of conflict and social fragility indicators in Diyala Govenorate, focusing on the understudied districts of Khalis, Muqdadiya, Kifri, and Baladrooz. While historically underserved, overlooking the governorate now would be negligent given its past and current instability. As such, the purpose of this work is to help in identifying entry points for programming to repair the social fabric in these districts, both within and between their diverse communities as well as between communities and the state.
